To benefit from homework assignments, students will need to use critical thinking skills and extensive problem-solving skills. Expect one quiz per chapter. Quizzes and tests will be announced. Assessments will generally include multiple choice questions, short answer questions, and word problems. Make-up & Late Work: You are responsible to get information and materials that you have missed. Absentee work will be placed in the folder in your class basket. Late work will not be accepted. If you must miss class for a school-sponsored event, all assignments and work must be picked up and/or turned in the day of the absence. Tardy Policy: 1st Tardy Warning 2nd Tardy Warning 3rd Tardy 15-minute detention (Room 119) 4th Tardy 30-minute detention (Room 119) and parent contact by teacher 5th Tardy Two after-school detentions 6th Tardy One week of cafeteria restriction 7th Tardy Two weeks of cafeteria restriction 8th Tardy Warning that 9th Tardy will result in the student being dropped from the course with a failing grade. Please be aware: Tardies are considered cumulative throughout the entire semester. Grades: I will use a total points system to determine your grade. Points will come from tests, quizzes, labs, homework, in-class assignments, individual projects, etc. Your final course grade will be determined by your semester grade (85%) and final exam (15%). It requires you to use extensive problem-solving skills I say that NOT to scare you out of my classroom, but to warn you that you are going to have to put forth a great deal of time and effort (and even that does not guarantee you an "A"). However, the rewards gained from establishing a knowledge base in physics will justify your struggles and tiring efforts. Contrary to what you probably think, physics is fun and I will do my part to make it fun and exciting. Good luck and I hope for a great semester! YOU can LEARN more than your TEACHERS can TEACH! I think physicists are the Peter Pans of the human race They never grow up and they keep their curiosity. Physics is imagination in a straight jacket. - John Moffat Equipped with his five senses, man explores the universe around him and calls the adventure SCIENCE. - Edwin Hubble 3>klT q r z E [ \ _ G J L ǿǿǶ聿xxxxxhD[H*OJQJhwIhD[CJOJQJhQhD[>*OJQJhD[>*OJQJhwIOJQJhwIhD[OJQJhD[6OJQJhD[OJQJhwIhD[5CJOJQJ%jhD[5OJQJUmHnHuhD[5OJQJhwI5OJQJ hD[CJ/3kmzS T p r D E Z \ H q `L U p s u ~ @ALM!""RʠxoodhF]5CJ$OJQJhF]>*OJQJhF]CJOJQJ&jhF]CJOJQJUmHnHuhF]CJOJQJ%jhF]5OJQJUmHnHuhwIhF]5CJOJQJhF]5OJQJhF]OJQJhwIH*OJQJhwIhwIH*OJQJhD[H*OJQJhwIOJQJhD[OJQJ# AB&Lrs(`gdF]^gdF](BCp!12APQi"ST$a$gdF] )gdF]RSTbcqrtu˽˱hF]OJQJhQhF]5OJQJh/thF]5CJ OJQJhF]5OJQJhQhF]5OJQJhQhF]5CJ OJQJhF]5OJQJhQhF]5CJ OJQJhF]5CJ OJQJhF]hQhF]5CJ$OJQJbcrstu$a$gdF]$a$gdF] / =!"#$%|,, b yg(,,(d'`666666666vvvvvvvvv666666>6666666666666666666666666666666666666666666666666hH6666666666666666666666666666666666666666666666666666666666666666666666666662 0@P`p2( 0@P`p 0@P`p 0@P`p 0@P`p 0@P`p 0@P`p8XV~ OJPJQJ_HmH nH sH tH <`< NormalCJ_HmH sH tH D@D Heading 1$@&5CJOJQJDA`D Default Paragraph FontViV 0 Table Normal :V 44 la (k ( 0No List 0U0 Hyperlink>*B*PK!K[Content_Types].xmlj0Eжr(΢]yl#!MB;BQޏaLSWyҟ^@ Lz]__CdR{`L=r85v&mQ뉑8ICX=H"Z=&JCjwA`.Â?U~YkG/̷x3%o3t\&@w!H'"v0PK!֧6 _rels/.relsj0 }Q%v/C/}(h"O = C?hv=Ʌ%[xp{۵_Pѣ<1H0ORBdJE4b$q_6LR7`0̞O,En7Lib/SeеPK!kytheme/theme/themeManager.xml M @}w7c(EbˮCAǠҟ7՛K Y, e.|,H,lxɴIsQ}#Ր ֵ+!,^$j=GW)E+& 8PK!\theme/theme/theme1.xmlYOoE#F{o'NDuر i-q;N3' G$$DAč*iEP~wq4;{o?g^;N:$BR64Mvsi-@R4Œ mUb V*XX! cyg$w.Q "@oWL8*Bycjđ0蠦r,[LC9VbX*x_yuoBL͐u_.
