Speech Team Helping Hephzibah Children's Association
The speech and drama students at Morris Community High School will be supporting Hephzibah Children's Association this holiday season. Hephzibah Children's Association is a children's home located in Oak Park, Illinois. The residence is for children with no parents who have been mentally, physically, and sexually abused. The ages of the children range from 3-12. Some children live at Hephzibah for their entire childhoods.
A Morris Speech Team coach, Brian Fruits, made the students aware of this organization. Brian was a Hephzibah child in 1986. The students and coaches have committed to donating items to these children and will personally be delivering the items on December 30th. They will be spending part of that day at the facility with the children. Andrea Gustafson, speech coach, is excited that this is a chance for students to not only help, but get to see firsthand where their donations are going.
If you would like to donate items to Hephzibah, please bring items to the MCHS office. Below is a list of requested items. Your generosity is appreciated.
Socks
Clothes
Jackets
Underwear
Shoes
School Supplies
Books
Games
Toys
