Hello Visitors,
Another New Year, and always more challenges in education. I hope that the remainder of this school year brings you to many successes. It is said that "change happens," and certainly we are all well aware that change can be a positive and integral part of our overall school improvement process. The 2011-12 school year certainly arrived with some notable and significant changes, but we have now learned to survive differently.
PowerSchool should still be a critical connection between teachers and parents. Along with emails and phone contacts, we know that maintaining these critical communication links will continue to be a major key to the success of so many students. Parents, do not forget your opportunity to participate by joining the Parent School Improvement Panel (PSIP). Meetings are open to everyone with the next PSIP meeting scheduled at 6:30 p.m on the first Wednesday of every month. The PSIP's mission statement indicates a desire; "To re-open meaningful dialog and action between parents and school in order to collaborate as helpful participants in the education of our children."
