Mr. Thomas
Welcome from Mr. Thomas
![]() |
My name is Joe Thomas. I previouisly taught at Kaneland High School for 10 years. I am starting my thirty-seventh year of teaching, twenty-sixth consecutive year at Morris High School, and will be retiring at the end of the 2009-2010 school year. During that time, I coached basketball and football at the high school level for sixteen years. I have been married to my wife, Jeanne, for 33 years. If I am not playing with my three grandchildren or working in my yard, you might see me running up and down a basketball court as I am a Certified IHSA High School Basketball Referee. |
Welcome to not only the 2009-10 school year but also to the Morris Community High School Web Site. Surf our website as it contains a wealth of information concerning MCHS.
I teach the following courses: Regular Geometry, Applied Geometry, Computer Literacy, and Technology Applications. Along with my classes, here are some of my responsibilities at Morris High School:
Computer
Maintenance
Web
Master
National Honor Society
Faculty Council
Technology
Committee
Design & Process
MCHS Graduation Programs
I usually arrive at approximately 7:10-7:20 each school day and am
here until at least 3:30 each day. Please feel free to
contact me at school(942-1294) if you have any questions concerning
your son's/daughter's progress in my class. Grades will be
posted weekly on our new PowerSchool Website. Make sure you
have your correct password from Morris High School to access those
grades. You will also find daily assignments posted on the
site mentioned above. Please be patient as we are still
learning the 'in's & out's' of the program ourselves. It
may take a little time to iron out the bugs so to speak.
In addition, please encourage your child to participate in the wide variety of extra-curricular clubs and activities we offer. My wish is that he/she will have positive experiences at Morris Community High School that will be memorable which will lead them to be responsible and productive citizens in the future.
Sincerely,
Mr. Joe Thomas
