STUDENTS:
Sign up in the main office to ride the fan bus to the football game on Friday night. The fare is $2.00 and the bus leaves at 4:15 p.m.
The volleyball bus is leaving at 3:30 p.m. for Ottawa from the main gym entrance.
If you or your parent want help in the college selection process as well as finding a financial fit ... There will be a workshop for any senior, junior, sophomore, and freshmen on Thursday, September 16 in the auditorium. It will run two different times 6:30 p.m. or 8 p.m. The presenter will help determine a financial fit as you go through the college selection process.
The Yearbooks are in! Come to the Back-to-School Sock hop and Yearbook Signing party tonight from 6:30 - 8:30 in the cafeteria to pick yours up and celebrate the start of a new school year! The dance is casual -- whatever you wear to school -- and the $5 admission gets you 2 hours of dancing with your friends and a slice of pizza and can of pop!
Attention MCHS....Are you looking for a new activity? Do you want to speak, perform, compete, and make new friends here at MCHS as well as at other area high schools? Then the MCHS Redskin Speech Team just might be for you. We will be having our first meeting of the year right after school today in Room 141--Mrs. Gustafson's room. The meeting is for returning team members, as well as for anyone who is interested in doing Speech Team in 2010-2011. Come check it out---see Mrs. G with questions
Yes, the first FCCLA meeting is scheduled for Wednesday, September 8, 2010 immediately after school in the auditorium. The meeting will last 15-20 min. pick up your application and calendar of events. Make it happen MCHS. Peace!
TROUPE will have its first meeting after school today. Anyone who is interested in participating in leadership activities such as being role models for elementary kids and are committed to being drug and alcohol free, please come to the meeting, get information and join an amazing group of teens!!
Students: Parking tags are on sale! The cost of the parking tag is $25 and you will need to show a valid drivers license and an MCHS parking tag form at time of purchase. Forms are available in the main office.
Attention Sophomore Class Officers and Representatives: Please meet in the woods room 302 tomorrow at 7:00 a.m. Breakfast will be provided. Please see Mr. Balegno or Mrs. Dite if you cannot attend.
Anyone freshman interested in running for Student Council may pick up an application and petition today or tomorrow from the main office counter. You must complete the application and get 25 names from members of your class in order to run. These forms must be returned by Tuesday, Sept. 7, at 8:00 a.m. to Mrs. Rath's mailbox in the main office. Speeches will be given on Tuesday at the end of the day. Elections will be held during lunch on Wednesday.
Attention All Students: Student Council will be having the fall blood drive next Thursday, Sept. 9, from 8 a.m. until 2 p.m. You must be 16 years old to donate. Pick up the necessary forms from the main office counter and sign up for the time slot you desire. Please help to make this drive one of our most successful! We have a goal of 100 pints--help us make that goal!
Attention all students that would like to be a Ski Club member: Your paperwork and $3 due by this Friday if you wish to vote for Ski Club Officers.
