Mathletes take First Place

The Volume Team, including Chris Gallick, Tom Woodard, Taylor Wolfer, Kyle Jorstad, William DelToro, and Katelyn Mantey, finished in first place.
The Morris Community High School Mathletes won first place at the JJC Invitational Math Contest on March 11.

The Morris Community High School Mathletes finished in first place at the Joliet Junior College Invitational Math Contest on Wednesday, March 11. Twenty-seven MCHS students participated in this event.


Additionally, the following teams placed first:


The Volume Team of William DelToro, Chris Gallick, Kyle Jorstad, Katelyn Mantey, Taylor Wolfer, and Tom Woodard.


The Perimeter and Area Team of William DelToro, Chris Gallick, Kyle Jorstad, Katie Kreig, Grant Magers, and Tom Woodard.

The Rational Functions Team of Kelly Schwanter, Kelsey Schluntz, Tamara Kren, Joel McVey, Taylor Severson adn Arianna Pempe finished in first place.
The Perimeter and Area Team, including Chris Gallick, Tom Woodard, William Del Toro, Kyle Jorstad, Katie Kreig, and Grant Magers, finished in first place.

  The Rational Functions Team of Tamra Kren, Joel McVey, Arianna Pempe, Kelsey Schluntz, Kelly Schwantner, and Taylor Severson.


Both oral competition teams finished in second place, including Chris Gallick and William DelToro in Linear Programming, and Erin Baum and Jennifer Martino in Counting Techniques.

  Perfect papers were written by Joel McVey, Arianna Pempe, William DelToro, and Blake Wilhelmsen.


The Mathletes are coached by Mr. Vahle, Mrs. Shannon, and Mr. Ortiz.
