Dust off those instruments .... join the Pep Band
On Friday, February 12, the Morris Community HS Band will be holding a Band Parent/Faculty/Alumni Pep Band Night during the boys' game against Streator. If you play an instrument or have played an instrument in the past, no matter how long ago, you are invited to perform with the Pep Band that evening. This night is open to all alumni of the band; not just Pep Band.
If you would like to attend on February 12th, please send an email to Mr. Stinson at dstinson@morrishs.org. Include the following in your email: your name, your instrument, and if you need to borrow an instrument. Mr. Stinson will accommodate as many requests for instruments as possible, but he is limited in some. Call time for the band is 6:45pm in the band room for a short practice/refresher and the game starts at 7:30pm. The pep band will play for quarters 1, 2, and 4; taking the third quarter off for a slice of pizza from the concession stand with the current band students.
Mr. Stinson, looking forward to the night, said, “I stress this - even if you haven't played in a long time, come on out and enjoy yourself. We'd love to have you there.” This should be an evening full of fun and entertainment for all!
