Registration FAQ and Troubleshooting

Feeling insecure about using the internet to register your student?  If you’re not as savvy as you’d like to be in such a technologically advanced world, that’s ok!  We’ve got some tools to help.  Moving forward in our third year of online registration, we can conclude it has proven to be both more efficient, and more convenient for our families!  The long days of waiting in line for hours are over, with a limited time frame.  With online registration, you have a three week window to register your student from the privacy of your own home, at any time.  You are in charge of updating all information we have on file so there’s no confusion about address, phone or health changes.  Along with these benefits, you’re able to access and print MCHS daily time schedules, calendars, and other pertinent information right from your own computer.  Following the instructions given, or posted on our website, your registration process should be easy and seamless!  In the event you run into a problem or have a question, you are not alone!  Please visit our FAQ section below to see if we can help here!


Can I register my student from my Power School app or on my phone?

Unfortunately you cannot.  With a program that does not support that, you must register from a computer or tablet.  However, it is very useful to download the Power School app AFTER you’ve created your account.  To access the MCHS Power School app you will need the District Code:  XXZH

Can I log onto Power School with my student’s login?

You cannot.  You must use your Parent created username and password to register.

What if I lost my instructions?

You can access instructions by logging on to our website www.morrishs.org   An article regarding Online Registration is on our homepage with instructions you can download and print.

How do I pay fees?

Upon completion of your registration process you should receive an email that will provide you with a link to our EPay portal.  You should always check your junk or spam mail if you don’t receive the email right away.  You can also access EPay at any time throughout the year to pay fees, right on the homepage of our website.

Are there other ways to pay besides credit/debit card?

Of course!  Cash or check payments are always acceptable in the main office during business hours.  Checks should be made payable to MCHS.

I have an incoming freshman; how do I retrieve my Web ID & Password if I’ve misplaced them?

You can contact the main office at 815.942.1294.  You will need them to complete the registration process.

I have a returning student; how do I retrieve my username and password I’ve already created?

You can contact the main office to retrieve your username; however, we do not have passwords on file.  You will need to retrieve your password on your own.  You can use the email associated with the account to reset it.

When do I purchase P.E. uniform?

Your student will purchase his/her P.E. uniform with his/her teacher on the first day of school.  Uniforms are $17.00 for the set and can be purchased with cash or check only.

How does my student get his/her textbooks?

Upon completion of registration, your student should take the confirmation email as proof to get textbooks on any of the following days:  August 8th, 9th, or 11th.  When picking up textbooks, your student will also receive his/her school ID and schedule with locker and homeroom info.

What fees will I have to pay at the time of registration?

You will be expected to pay, or make arrangements to pay, the $150 textbook fee and any IHSA Activity fees, with a maximum of two sports, at the time of registration.  Due to schedule changes that happen in the first few weeks of school, all other fees such as Driver Ed, GAVC, AP fees, and classroom lab fees will be assessed in September.  Invoices will be sent home on September 15th, and are sent home on the 15th of every month.
