Welcome!

Welcome to my web page!  My name is Miss Sarah Pichon and I'm excited to continue my first year of teaching at Morris Community High School!  I graduated from the University of St. Francis in May 2011.  At that time, I was fortunate to say I would be returning to my former high school...but as a teacher this time!  The staff and students here are full of a wonderful energy that's both supportive and eager to grow.  I've had the most wonderful experiences at MCHS with the staff and students; I can't imagine working anywhere else!  I am looking forward to what the rest of the year will bring- I hope you are, too!

Please feel free to contact me with any questions or concerns.

English 10 & 11 Overview:

It is my job as the teacher to ensure each child receives the best education possible in a safe and productive learning environment.  It is each student's responsibility to come prepared with an attitude that is ready and willing to learn.  Participation through in-class discussions and activities are vital, as you will not learn if you're not actively involved.

Throughout the year students will continually work on journals, grammar, writing, and reading strategies.

English 10 Content:

Semester 1-  Short Stories, Plot, Literary Terms, Parts of Speech, and the novel Tunnel Vision

Semester 2-  Writing/Composition and To Kill a Mockingbird

English 11 Content:

Semester 2-  Short Stories, Poetry, and Flowers for Algernon
