New in the fall of 2008, Miss Noto and I are excited to be bringing Promethean Activboard technology to our classrooms. Thanks to grant funding, we were able to have two activboards installed in our classrooms this year, and we hope that this is just the beginning!
Activboards are more than just projector screens. They are interactive whiteboards that allow us to enhance our instructional delivery and increase the opportunities for our students to participate. These boards will allow us to take full advantage of the online and electronic resources that accompany our textbooks. They will also allow us to save presentations, manipulate images, instantly collect and analyze student responses, and incorporate color, animation, the internet, and much more into our presentations. The boards come with valuable, time-saving software and a wealth of online resources. One of the best features is that we can write on and control the board from anywhere in the classroom, giving us greater mobility and making it easier for students to use the board.

As more and more schools begin to abandon chalkboards and whiteboards for more innovative instructional methods, we believe that we are on the right track with Promethean Activboards.
