Director of Choirs

Catherine Clare Songco graduated in 2024 with a Bachelor’s Degree in Music Education and is honored to be a part of the MCHS team. A proud alumna of Plainfield North High School and Elmhurst University, she has spent many years honing her craft and studying the art of choral music through her work as section leader, student director, President of the Elmhurst Collegiate Music Education Association (ECMEA, previously known as NAfME) and other musical leadership roles in various choirs and ensembles.

Clare currently serves as the Director of Choirs and Music Teacher at Morris Community High School, where she teaches Mixed Choir, Varsity Singers, Madrigals, AP  Music Theory, and Beginning Piano, in addition to three co-curricular acapella ensembles and vocal directing the spring musical.
