February 1 Plan Change & Notes on Spring Events
Dear MCHS Families,
This is a reminder that on Monday, February 1, all students who are currently in-person will start attending in-person every day, five days per week. The A/B rotation will no longer be utilized, and the bell schedule will remain the same.
For the rest of third quarter, students who are remote will remain remote. We will keep you informed of fourth quarter plans as we move forward.
Plans for athletics are being made now that we know more details about the seasons.
I know many of you are also wondering about other events. It is too soon for us to know exactly what may be possible for Prom. We realize it is frustrating to not have answers, but there are still capacity restrictions in place, and Prom is a 400-person event.
The official date for Graduation is Friday, May 21. However, please put May 21-23 on your calendar as "Graduation Weekend" for the time being. That will allow us some flexibility due to weather or capacity restrictions, as whatever we do will hopefully occur outside.
When we have more firm details, we will share them. We greatly appreciate your patience.
Please continue to do your part by keeping students home if they are not feeling well. I can't say enough about the difference this makes. Thank you!
Sincerely,
Craig R. Ortiz, Ed.D.
